HarperLloyd Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded specialist commercial law firm to appoint an Employment & Workplace Lawyer to its Sydney team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with 2 -5 years’ PAE to join a well-regarded employment & workplace practice offering strong mentoring, quality client exposure and a genuine mix of advisory and contentious work. Working within an established Sydney team, this role offers exposure to a broad range of workplace law matters across underpayments, award classification, enterprise bargaining strategy, child safety and reportable conduct, privacy and data protection issues, post-employment restraints, unfair dismissals, general protections, discrimination, bullying, sexual harassment and work health and safety.
The team acts across a diverse range of sectors including financial services, charities and not-for-profits, education and early learning, aged care, disability support, labour hire and natural resources. This breadth makes it a strong opportunity for a lawyer seeking to build a well-rounded workplace practice with meaningful client contact and early responsibility.

You’ll join a collaborative Sydney team within a specialist commercial firm known for its practical advice, strong client relationships and supportive culture. The team offers a quality mix of contentious and advisory work, approachable senior lawyers and genuine development for junior practitioners looking to build their capability and profile.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 years’ PAE in workplace relations or employment law; strong organisational, drafting and communication skills; sound critical thinking ability; an adaptable and proactive approach; genuine enthusiasm for client service; and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
This role will suit a lawyer who enjoys workplace law, wants direct exposure to clients and senior lawyers, and is looking to grow within a specialist and well-supported practice.
